Peanut Better
Client: "Peanut Better"
Magazine Advertisements
Challenge: Create an identity, product range and at least seven pieces of promotional material for the fictional "Peanut Better" peanut butter brand.
Solution: The creation of a child and parent friendly product that turns the fun, and a little bit grungy, feeling of common sights into a delicious treat. The idea was to do "gross" but in a clean way, inspired by the "dirt and worms" dish. The illustrations mimic this approach while creating a bright, eye-catching product image that would stand apart from other brands on a shelf.
Magazine ads would run in youth publications such as Sports Illustrated, Nick Magazine, and Highlights, as well as parenting and women’s magazines, where they would stand apart with their bright contrasts and imagery, creating interest in the product.
Also created as promotional materials are two environmental pieces, which would be deployed in supermarkets and outside in construction sites, a television advertisement, and a landing pad website, 5secondrule.com.
