FCAD Identity

Notes: Identity for a possible merging of the Art and Design departments at Flagler College.

Flagler College's Art and Design departments wanted to update their image and come into their own as part of the school. Separate Art and Design sections existed online, but with plans to merge the two, they desired an identity to represent "Flagler College Art & Design."

Art and design are two similar yet unique concepts. An image of one of Flagler College's iconic lion sculptures is used to represent the fine art aspect, and the surrounding interactive type and interesting layout reference design.

The type placement allows for the stationary to be bold but still readable, and have plenty of room for text. The basic square shape of the logo and the scattered rectangular shapes made by the type suggest that FCAD is breaking out of the box.
