Collected Pixels

Challenge:
Using a common object as pixels, build a word that can describe the object itself. No two letters in the word may be the same, and the object should be small and inexpensive.

Solution:
The chosen object was Haribo gummi bears, and due to their large quantity and anthropomorphic shape, "collected" was a positive word that could be used to describe them. Using 12 to 15 bags of gummi bears per letter, the word was built on a paper stencil, which was removed for photographing. The shape of the gummi bears made for interesting curves and color variation, and as a whole composition it is easy to see their relation to the word "collected" itself.
